Check and mate

A Little pawn hits his stride
Away from home, full of vied
Came out of the shell to the world wide
Didn't see the diagonal enemies, invisibly spied
Withstood the attacks but somehow survived
Dig into the past where he had laughed and cried
made up his mind will go back and hide
 But couldn't step back as there was no move
 the hopeful faces saying "what about the behoove"
Turned aback and make the pledge
 came out of the cage and will fledge
will never stop, till got promoted at the opponent's edge.
